I thought the best way to chronicle Nevaeh's Adoption Story was to do it in pages instead of different blog post, since I am moving the blog over from Shutterfly. So the following pages will detail how we decided to adopt, how we came to get Nevaeh and the whole rollercoaster process that came with it.
Some of the pages will be exactly as they were written in my other blog and some will be added from post I can still find on Facebook. There was a period of time that I did not blog because I was going through a difficult time and just wanted to complain on Facebook. I now realize I did a huge disservice to her story because I had so many feelings during that time that I left undocumented. I am going to try and go back and remember those feelings the best I can to complete the story.
As of today's date, April 2, 2010, the adoption is still not complete. We are just waiting on the social worker to call us and give us a court date. It was suppose to be in April but I am beginning to wonder.
Once that day arrives, I will feel like the adoption part of her story is finally over and the forever part will continue, well, forever. I am hoping that by telling her story others will be able to see that God is a God of miracles. My faith should have been stronger through the whole thing, but I did grow a lot during the process.
Thanks for taking the time to read it and please feel free to post comments or your struggles and joys through adoption.
