All I want for Christmas

In 2007 all I wanted for Christmas was a daughter. I love my boys but there is something different about having a little girl around to love also.

We had been foster parents to two beautiful little girls for only a short while and I was desperately hoping that we would have the opportunity to provide a home for one who needed a forever family.

On December 12th we took a trip to Disneyland to help take our minds off of waiting for the phone call. While the boys were riding Mulholland Madness, I received a call from the social worker telling me that they had a two month old baby girl who had suffered abuse and needed a foster home.

On December 13th 2007, I drove down to the San Diego orphange to pick up this precious baby.

Last year at Christmas time we weren't sure how much longer our sweet little gift would be allowed to stay with us, and everytime I heard this song I would cry and think about how all I wanted for Christmas was for her to be a part of our family.

So after two long years of not knowing if we would have to return our gift, we now know that she will be a part of our forever family.

This year I will finally get all I want for Christmas.
